REFLECTIONS

What have I learned in this module?
In this module I learned a lot of design principles that I didn't know before. In this module I also learned that there are many principles that are applied in our daily lives. In addition, I also learned that these design principles really make existing designs have meaning, both express and implied. I also learned to be able to analyze people's designs and use them as inspiration for me to create.

What did I enjoy the most?
I really enjoyed project 1 which is self-portrait. On that assignment, I became more aware of what was in me and what interested me. The task indirectly makes us learn to know ourselves more deeply and learn to accept and love ourselves.

What did I not enjoy the most?
For me, maybe exercises. Because there are provisions that must be obeyed and make me feel limited to make a design. But I think exercises are very helpful because I can learn to apply design principles.

What have I learnt about myself through this module?
I feel like I've been exploring a lot more than before. I've also realized that I'm better able to design when I'm exploring and sketching.

What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?
What has changed for me is probably the way I make a work. Previously, I immediately made a work without the help of sketches and others, but when I studied this module I did exploration and then sketched which is very helpful because it equips me to make a design.

What hasn't changed is probably my art style. I prefer to make designs that are not complicated and unrealistic. And I still apply the same art style

What could be improved in this module?
Maybe for the given exercises. In my opinion it is quite difficult to make 2 designs with different principles in one task. Apart from that I think this module is fine. Lectures and instructions are very clear and helpful.
