INSTRUCTIONS

Location / Alphabet / Time / Category / Hierarchy

Organize a group of information into a visual poster that combined and utilizes the LATCH principles (min. 4)
Requirements:
Size resolution: 1240 × 1750 pixels or 2048 × 2048 pixels
Use a digital photo editing / illustration software available to assemble the pokemons into a LATCH infographic poster. You can re-use back the images of the monsters, but do create the rest of your own visuals to complete the poster.

Progress

Firstly I looked up on the internet about Pokemon on this website :
https://pokemondb.net/pokedex/

I chose 4 elements of Pokemon. Water, grass, fire and fairy. I looked up each Pokemon and decided to chose these:
  • Water :
    Squirtle - Wartortle - Blastoise

  • Grass :
    Bulbasaur - Ivysaur - Venusaur

  • Fire :
    Charmander - Charmeleon - Charizard

Figure 1.3 Fire Pokemon Evolution Chart

  • Fairy :
    Cleffa - Clefairy - Clefable

And then I got inspired to do pixel art, so I went to Youtube to find a tutorial about how to make pixel art in Adobe Illustrator and this is the video.

To be able to create pixel art in Adobe Illustrator, we need to use the rectangular grid tool.

Figure 1.5 Rectangular Grid Tool

And then we adjust the pixel that we want. I adjusted it according to the file size which is 1240 pixels x 1750 pixels.

Figure 1.6 Rectangular Grid Tool Settings

And then I started to draw a floating island using the tool. We need to press "k" to be able to draw on the grid.

This is the floating Island that I made using the rectangular grid tool.

For the Pokemons, I went to a website called Pixel Art Maker and downloaded the PNG file there.

Then I divided the location to each Pokemons with their elements.

Then I arranged the pokemon. First I made 4 squares with different shades of white and gray. The darker the gray the highest the revolution level. And then I put the element on the top left square to indicate the pokemons' element. After that I put the pokemon into the squared and put arrows to indicate the revolution level. And then I put their names and their national number one by one.

Then I added some white pokeballs and decrease the opacity.

I added pixelated Pokemon logo and added description about the infographic.

And Lastly I added each location a name.
